They are the important part of your family… don’t they deserve real safety..?

Providing a safe environment is more important as when you made a decision to take a new pet as part of your family. Proper steps should be taken to prepare home for your new family member in order to eliminate any hazards. Preparing homes for a new puppy or any other pet is similar to a baby coming your home. New pets are speculative by nature, and they always want to investigate everything, including all those things which could be dangerous. It all depends on us as a responsible pet owner to make sure each room of our home provide a safe environment for our beloved pet.

Bathrooms and Kitchens:
Bathrooms and kitchens tend to have the most dangerous items like: medications, cleaning supplies and other chemicals. Well to keep your pet safe it is important to follow the following steps:
Keep all the laundry soaps, cleaning supplies and medication on high selves.
There are some items which can be dangerous for consumption and even if the food doesn’t pose a threat, the packaging could be a problem. So keep all those items out of reach of your pet.
Keeping all the trash material including trash cans covered so that pets cannot get into garbage.
Block all the small spaces such as behind the dryer and washer or small spaces such as holes in cabinets.
Always keep the toilet lid down in order to prevent from potentially drinking harmful chemicals.
Living Room:
Like bathroom and kitchen might pose a serious threat to our beloved pets, the living room also contains several items that could be dangerous. In order to keep pet safe in the living room following steps should be followed:
Always check and make sure that all heating or air vents have proper covers.
Keep away all the breakable items from your pet reach.
Put all the your kids toys or games away that contains small pieces which can be a chocking hazard to your curious pet.
All the dangling wire from lamps, stereo, and television should be keep out of reach from your pet.

Bedroom

Not much has to be done in bedrooms for your dog safety, however there are still few steps that need to be taken care of :
Keep away all the medicines, lotions or cosmetics out of reach from your pets that are might be on a bedside table.
All shoes and laundry should be out of reach of your pets as strings and buttons can pose a choking hazard and even more serious issues can be integrated .
Make sure that your pet are not sleeping in drawers or closets before shutting them.

Backyard and Garage:
If you are spending any time with your pet in garage or backyard following steps need to be taken care of:
Always clean your garage to ensure that any chemical such as antifreeze are no-where. These chemicals can result into death of your pet.
Keep all the sharp objects and tools in place where your pet cannot access it.
Make sure all plants in your garden are safe for pets.
Check all the fence for any spaces or holes where your pet might be able to squeeze through and patch them up.
