Our Story

Nony

As far as I remember I always lived with dogs from the time I was born. I used to have a pet at home, her name was ‘Nony’. I always want to work something exceptional for the stray animals as it gave me nightmare by seeing their condition. The only way to get the peace of mind was to change the condition. Since I was alone and I don’t have much knowledge how to start with but the turning point was when I saw a lady “G.Satyawati“ providing food to the street dogs in our local area. I got an opportunity to talk to her as she basically work for the welfare of these stray animals and used to feed and take care of them. Providing the healthy nutrition food and keep a regular check on their health issues. She always inspire me to work for these poor stray animals as there is no one out there to fulfil their basic needs. Then I met with a guy “Raj Kumar Likhwana“ who was also very serious to improve the condition of these stray animals. He believes that most people may not be able to change the world, but small efforts can make a difference.

We then took an initiative and start working as team which included: “G.Satyawati “, “Raj“ and “me “as we take this proposition of caring and feeding these stray animals. We as a team keep up this good work for around 5 years and then we decide to open an NGO ‘Caring and Feeding Animals’ to move to a next level where we can take the support of the other volunteers to improve the stray animals overall condition.

The name itself suggest the prime motive of providing Care (‘caring’) as well as the nutritious meal (‘Feeding’) to all abandoned stray animals, whether big or small.

We do keep a check on all the alignment including: their basic needs like: nutrition food, shelter etc. along with the medical care like: Maggot wounds, fractures and skin infections all day of every month.

The aim and purpose of opening CFA include finding homes for Indian pups and adult, placing abandoned pets into loving homes, providing better medical care, raise the awareness of the cause and feeding them with healthy and nutritious food.

CFA is a registered non-profit charity aimed at the rescue and rehabilitation of stray and abandoned animals in New Delhi, India.
