There are certainly many things that we need to keep in mind in order to keep the health of your pets
- Provide Training Regularly:
It’s been very important to start providing training to your puppy in the early age so that puppy will learn to understand what you expect of him and be better to be equipped to fit into his environment.
- Provide a Balance Diet:
What you feed your puppy really matters. To remain fit, he always needs a special nutrition with the right amount of fats, minerals, protein and plenty of fresh clean water.
- Always keep puppy well groomed:
Start grooming your puppy at an early age. The earlier your dog gets to know the procedure the more readily he will get used to it.
- Provide Regular Dental Care:
In order to prevent a lot of problems later in the life, it is very important to take care of your puppy’s teeth. In fact, one of the most health problems for dogs is periodontal disease. So start brushing your puppy’s teeth now. Play toys should be provided to chew and make their gums strong.
- Exercise you dog/puppy regularly:
Regular exercise is very important for the health of the dog/puppy. However, pups should not be made to run a lot till they are atleast 5 months old since their bones are still soft and forming.
- Vet checkup regularly is a must:
Once the pup is home, you must take him to vet within a day or so. It is important to provide your dogs/puppy all the mandatory vaccinations to keep them healthy. When the puppy reaches to adulthood, atleast one visit a year is required to ensure his good health.
- Regularly check the puppy health at home:
You can play a vital role in keeping your dog/puppy healthy by doing regular health checkups at home like checking the weight, coat, skin, ears and eyes, teeth and also prevent small problems from turing into big ones.
- Reward good behaviour:
Reward your dog with a treat or praise when he does what you tell him. Positive reinforcement is a powerful way to keep your dog/puppy in a well behaved member of the family.
- Make your dog introduce with other dogs:
One of the best ways to teach good manners is to allow your puppy to interact with other adult dogs.
- Be patient:
Raising a puppy requires a lot of patience and love. Do educate yourself by reading and interacting with other dog owners and communicating with your vet. It will help you build a strong enduring relationship with your puppy.
- Training your Pet:
It is the responsibility to train your pet to be well behaved and disciplined member of your family.
Training your puppy to come, sit, stay down, lie down are one of the most important aspects for the harmonious for you and your family along with safety of the dog.
Generally professional training should be started around 5 to 6 months of your pets age. But you can start the training of your pet from the first month. Training should be provided in front of you where the trainer shows you, the owner, how to work with your dog.
- Teaching his name:
The most important lesion while providing training is to teach your puppy his name by using it frequently. He will understand that when you or anyone else says his name your mean him.
- Leash and Collar:
Always start with a narrow, soft collar at first and allow it wear constantly. Attach a light lead and allow it to drag for few days. Then by gently holding it walk along the dog/pup so that it can’t feel the lead to much.
